SHUTTERGHOST
Jack escapes his troubles and travels to Ireland to photograph the ancient landscape of The Burren. But then a ghostly image starts appearing in his photos, of a boy who drowned sixty years ago. Jack must now face the demons that haunt him, as well as whatever is lurking in the mysterious lake.
“Growing up, I always found myself drawn to the old classics in the Ghost Story/Horror genre; ‘Oh Whistle And I’ll Come To You My Lad’, ‘The Woman In Black’, ‘The Wicker Man’ and the many BBC and ITV shorts that would be played during dark, cold christmas TV hours, usually based on the works of MR James or Dickens. With Shutterghost, my first film behind the camera, I wanted to recreate that feeling. An classic unsettling, spooky ghost story.
I was lucky enough to work with some incredibly talented cast and crew on this project, as well as members of my own family. You can read each of their bios below.”
Charlie Woodward - Writer & Director of Shutterghost
Shutterghost is currently being submitted to festivals before hopefully being released to the wider world in 2025.
